The World Artificial Intelligence Festival is coming to Cannes !
"World AI Cannes Festival"
This is the name of the new event to be held at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes,
second destination in France, after Paris, for trade shows.
From February 10 to 12, professionals and the general public will be able to come and
discuss or learn about this area which fascinates as much as it impresses,
that of artificial intelligence (AI), called to revolutionise our production methods,
of consumption or communication.
The first festival dedicated to these technologies of the future will be held
from February 10 to 12, 2021 and targets no less than 20,000 visitors.
Local elected officials want to persuade investors to bet on the territory
and the Sophia-Antipolis technology park.
The objective of this new show : to present major innovations, to offer a place of experimentation and discovery, and to make the general public aware of economic, human and ethical issues and societals in a rapidly changing sector and endless variations.
The WAICF will become a recurring meeting in Cannes which will take place every year
in February.
Faced with increasingly intense global competition, this new event strengthens Cannes' positioning as the leading French destination,
outside Paris, for the organisation of international trade shows.
